It lies in the heart to the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve in the tiny, picturesque lobster fishing village of Punta Allen (pop. 400). The Reserve contains well over one million acres stretching along the beautiful Caribbean coast of eastern Mexico. Sian Ka'an ("birth of the sky" in Mayan) is the home of over 300 species of birds, and many rare or endangered species of land and aquatic animals such as the manatee and jaguar. This beautiful 36 par jungle golf course was designed in 1991 by Thomas Leman and is still one of the best kept secrets in the area. The fairways and greens are covered by a smooth carpet of Bermuda Grass and surrounded by Palm trees, bugambilias, tropical fichus and lush foliage. On your daily rounds you may encounter iguanas, deer and different species of tropical birds and other local fauna. The Pro-shop offers a selection of golf items, beverages and club rentals.
